December 2025 Newsletter

Happy Holidays!

December brings a lot of seasonal festivity and fun in our classrooms.  This month your student will learn about traditions, sights, sounds, smell, and tastes of the holidays.  There will be an abundance of holiday art, songs and literature.  The students will also be making various decorations for their school Christmas trees.

Food Drive

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our food drive! Your spirit of giving helped bless many families.

Christmas Parties 

On Thursday, Dec. 18th, our classes will be having Christmas parties and special Christmas activities. Primary/Preschool will have their party at 2:30 p.m. Parties for PK 1 and PK 2 will be at 9:00 a.m.  Private school classes will have special activities throughout the day, enjoy a special Christmas lunch, and have their parties at 2:00 p.m. Dismissal will be at normal time. There will be sign-up sheets for each classroom for parents to volunteer to bring food and party items. Parents are welcome to join the parties!

Gift Exchange

During the Christmas parties on Dec. 18^th, the students in each class will have a book exchange. Please bring a wrapped book for a student approximately the same age and gender as your child. Be sure to label the gift “from” your child. The book should be age-appropriate and non-violent so that all students will have a positive experience. Please bring the gift by Wednesday, Dec. 17^th – the day before the party.

Christmas Holiday

We will be closed Dec. 24th - 26th and Jan. 1st.  No private school classes Friday, 12/19, Monday, 12/22 - Tuesday, 12/23, or Monday, 12/29 – Wed., 12/31, Friday, 1/2/26, or Monday, 1/5/26 - activities will be provided during this time. Please let us know if your student will be attending so we can plan accordingly. Private school classes will resume Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026.

Livingston Montessori School will be closed

Wed., Dec. 24^th – Fri., Dec. 26^th, and Thur., Jan 1^st
